It's the neverending Chase....

So almost a week has gone by since posting, and I feel bad when I do that. It isn't that I don't have a lot to say--I am full of hot air--but I get so tired by the end of the day, I just wanna curl up in bed and let go of stuff.

The thing with Chase Bank still has not fully resolved. There was another hold on an account, due to inactivity for six months or so, and I couldn't withdraw that. My father started one business account there with paperwork, and in the three years since, we have misplaced the particular papers that you need to open a new business account. Our CPA is going to have a field day with the amount of headache this has caused, because we have yet to find the papers, get a copy from the tax lawyer that helped us set up the business, or start a new account. I went in to handle what I could on Tuesday, my 30th birthday, and Her Highness had to be called over for something. She tried to make chit chat for all of two seconds, then it came out full-force when the teller indicated that it was my birthday. Thanks a lot for that. I had to endure Her Highness fake politeness and enthusiasm about was I getting a cake? and was I doing anything special? My surly answer to the last one, "Just moving accounts to another bank."

I decided to write thank you cards to the ones that helped us, and I am going to write a letter to Chase Bank and Her Highness' supervisor, and include a copy with a letter to Her Highness. I am going to tell Her Highness (who I swear I saw in one of those phone chat lines commercials while watching The Girls Next Door ) that the insincerity came about from not extending a helping hand to resolve the issues brought up within the first ten minutes, and I am going to recommend she read The One-Minute Apology by Ken Blanchard and Margret McBride. I read it the night before all this started, and I almost wish I hadn't....I may have let all this slide but because I had read the book, I knew the difference between lip service and actual apologies in business, and that I had to demand actual apologies. I think, if I messed up that much, the nice thing someone could do would be to guide me to how not to do it again.
