Updates on everyone
My dad has been home since Sunday. He got his cathetar out on Tuesday. He's antsy, tired of being in bed, and being very sweet to everyone. I like having him home.
My mother has gotten off the rush she gets when there is medical information being bounced around. She is being somewhat helpful, which never ceases to amaze me. One minute, crazy as a shithole bat. Next minute, sweet and unassuming and helpful, like Martha Stewart's opposite.
Handsome is loving school. He helps them open the door in the morning, like he can't wait to breathe in the Tootsie-Roll scented fumes surrounding a plethera of toys, the likes of which will never enter this house because they are small and educational. We like toys that we can break out toes on in the middle of the night when stumbling to the bathroom.
The wonderful addition to the site, the Riley Angel Candle, is being shipped to me right now. I ordered a ton of them, and am so proud to be helping such a wonderful hospital and honoring such a beautiful, brave little boy who puts all the petty crap we adults put orselves through to shame and then some.
Other than that, it's been hectic but we're getting things done as they need to and trying to spend time with the kids, who were thrown off quite a bit by all the time I've been away. Now I am on to doing just that! Have a good one, y'all.
