Funky, funky hair
I took Fuzzy to the groomer today. Here he is, pre-groomed.
He has been once before, and got his face, paws and rear end clipped. It's been too long since I took him, though, as evidenced in this photo as well.
I dropped him off at 10 am and they hadn't started on him until 2, when I got a call from the lady. She said that he was very nervous and getting aggressive about keeping her away from his face. This didn't sound like my little guy, but I agreed to not do his face for the time being and get him more used to the brush at home and try again. I told her to do his body hair really short, since he keeps coming in with bugs hiding in it, plus it's been so damn hot. We don't leave him out for longer than to do his business, but our house gets hot despite the a/c running all the time. He came home looking like a CGI dog.
He is so soft all over his body, like the softest baby blanket. He seems to like being able to grip the floor when running, without all that fur making him slide. I got a home trimmer that makes a noise like an industrial vibrator at a dildo convention. It keeps shutting off, so I'm going to have to return it and try another to see if he'll let me groom him. I've never done that before, so I'm sure I'll mess it up royally and he'll end up looking like Liza Minnelli on a good day.
Yes, he looks like the laughingstock of the dog world, but it could be worse. I have to use whatever clippers I get on my cat that lives with my mom. She keeps getting poo stuck to her butt. The cat, not my mom. At least, not that I know of.
