The incredibly screwed up car
It has been 10 full weeks since my car was smashed in a seemingly simple accident. The insurance company wanted to treat it as a fender bender and just do a cursory look at the damage and assess a value of less than $4,000 worth of damage. It seems like every time they look at the car since then, they find more and more damage. The body shop thought they were done and put the car on the lift to adjust the alignment, and saw that the rack and pinion steering and steering column was cracked in half. The total is now over $11,000 worth of damage, 10 weeks of time, two car seats, and one redhead 30-yr-old's patience. I do not want to rush the repairs and have them miss something that the insurance company will refuse to fix once I take the car. I really don't want to get it back and be stranded somewhere with the kids. I would get upset, but what's the point? The only thing I really can do is say, Fred Loya Insurance can suck the hairy testicles of a previously frozen caveman with the very first case of gonorrhea. And I hope they choke on them.
