Jewelry party selfishness

I hosted a Premier Jewelry Party here a couple weeks back, and while Mower was being a very, very good hubby upstairs watching up to seven children at a time, my friends and I had a great time with Jill, our Premier rep, downstairs. Jill was awesome--the eptiome of what you would like someone who comes into your home to sell a product to be. She was professional and flexible, fun and helpful, sweet and personable. I really enjoyed having her here, and her collection of jewelry was extensive and impressive. It helped a lot to see so many of the pieces right there, plus to have Jill directing us how we could use them to enhance or detract where we needed it. It was a really fun night, and I almost wish Jill also sold Adult Novelties because I know she'd have an amazing collection and would be hilarious to see her demonstrating them on a mannequin or allowing us to. If you can imagine, I have a great bunch of friends and family who can sometimes be just as crazy as me, and that party the kids would not be allowed to come down and pick out their favorites.

With the generosity of my friends and family, I got all four bonuses they offer. With their orders, and being able to order 8 pieces at half-price, plus a special promotion where 50% of the total sales were given to me in free jewelry, including the half-price items, I was able to get 18 pieces free. Overall, I got $599 worth of free jewelry. I had so much fun looking at that catalogue and figuring out how many items I could get for free and what to order half-price.

These are most of the items from my friend Melly's party and mine, excluding the ones I am giving as gifts, but since I was pretty selfish with my ordering, there are 23 items here for me or Bubba, including crystals, amethysts, and pearls :

Bubba chose the pink pearls and the pink beaded necklace with the pink slide. She was hilarious when she was looking at the catalogue and when she saw seven necklaces on one page. "One for me for Sunday, one for me for Monday..." I had to reiterate many times that she could just pick one, and when she decided, she melted me when she chose her two and said, "One for my birthday and one for Christmas." I couldn't help but smile and order both. Bubba also was Jill's little shadow, pointing out her favorites as she set up, which happened to be every single piece. Again, Jill was so amazing, incorporating the kids into the show and not being phased at all by the occassional banzai/banshee/Lord of the Rings Ringwraith hair-raising scream.

I am so looking forward to my two sister-in-laws' and my friends MelMil and Efoneill's parties. Jill, you are going to be sick of this crazy redhead by the time these parties are done! But thank God for them, because I am getting set up for jewelry for a very, very long time! Mower's happy too, since before these parties, I wanted diamonds and emeralds and tanzanite, which I still want, but can wait until we can afford them to be over a carat each because I can drench myself in Premier jewelry and feel pretty in quality for a very long time. So Mower, you are not off the hook yet, but you have been excellent for these parties, and will continue to reap certain benefits for not complaining about them, wink wink honey.
