They love their baby sister
Handsome and Bubba adore Honey, and we often are surprised at how much they have learned from us of how to relate to a screaming, pooping, projectile spit-upping little attention hog. Handsome murmers to her in the same way Mower and I do, and we frequently hear in his toddler-speak, "Awww, that's a good baby. You're so cute!"
Bubba helped Mower give Honey a bath while I folded laundry down the hall. I heard this part of the conversation Bubba had with Honey, "Tell me all about it! Being a cute baby isn't easy. Being a big girl isn't easy, either." I just imagined her nodding her head in an understanding way and Honey staring up at her with wide blue eyes.
Mower told me as we filled Easter eggs what I missed, though.
Bubba leaned in close, looked around for a moment as if to make sure she could confide in Honey without anyone eavesdropping, and bestowed upon her little sister the epitome of wisdom for a 7-year-old:
"But being a toddler...you get away with everything!"
